JOB DESCRIPTION

Title:               Technical Associate

Location:       Hounslow, Middlesex

THE ROLE

  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, ideally with a technical background, self motivated and intuitive, good structured approach to problem solving & case prioritization.

  • The successful applicant will be offered appropriate development and training to help them fulfil this position in the organisation and, at a later date, will be given the opportunity to further develop their IT and development skills.

JOB PURPOSE

  • This unique role is to assist across all aspects of technical support, with the main focus being on supporting the technical operations. (Comprising database support, Cloud Support, client technical support and Implementations, in a wide ranging variety of tasks, both structured and ad hoc.

  • A successful candidate will need to work both on their own and under the guidance of other members of staff to ensure a high level of service is provided to both our clients and our end customer, ultimately contributing to the company business.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Manage existing and new database (both on premises and cloud) systems.

  • Monitor the Production Environment using tools like MySQL enterprise monitor, Oracle enterprise monitor and cloud watch.

  • Ensuring that operational procedures are followed at all times.

  • Implementation of new database and cloud systems and related changes.

  • Database performance monitoring and provide relevant suggestions based on the observations.

  • Deploy changes / updates to the Production Environment as per ITIL guidelines.

  • Liaise with developers and sysadmins to identify problems and implement solutions.

  • Be part of out-out-hours support rota, when required.

  • Create relevant systems support documentation.

  • Occasional requirement to liaise with clients.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Degree level qualification, ideally this would be Computer Sciences / IT related.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant knowledge of databases (MySQL and SQL Server) and cloud (AWS) is a must.

  • Relevant database (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and cloud certification is desired.

  • Working knowledge of managing database on Windows and Linux (Linux related, eg. debian) platforms

  • Should have knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, change management, problem management, etc.

  • Proficient in the use of various database technologies and related softwares.

 

OTHER ("nice to have") Technical Attributes:

  • Hands-on knowledge of managing EC2 based databases, RDS instances and database migration experience.

  • Hands-on experience of working on ITSM tools (like, Remedy, Servicenow) or Agile tools (like, JIRA, confluence).

  • Experience in the operation of server based systems (WINDOWS and UNIX derivatives).

  • Shell Scripting skills.

Title:               Business Development Associate

Location:       Hounslow, Middlesex

THE COMPANY

THE ROLE

The Business Development Associate is an essential contributor to the performance of our business function and support our existing and new clientele. Meetings and calls with existing and prospective clients, and to become the primary catalysts for new contracts. The Business Development Associate has a key role in scheduling and leading such client communication as well as providing administrative support.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Identifies and helps in developing strategic relationships with clients and partners.

  • Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.

  • Create preparation packets for meetings with / speak to prospective clients

  • Review and update client information to ensure that it is up to date and accurate

  • Outbound marketing to engage prospective members, e.g. email campaigns, mailing and invitations

  • Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.

  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • 3-5 years of prior working experience in business development domain.

  • Degree level qualification.

  • Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.

  • Strong MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills are required, and any knowledge of CRM databases (such as Salesforce.com) would be an advantage
